Weekly Update Feb 12th

This Wednesday night is a scheduled off night for Refuge Students and Hyfi. There will be no family ministry activities.
This Sunday at Sunday School and at Refuge Hangout we will be taking a look at Acts 2:1-13. In this week’s session, we see that the disciples obeyed Jesus’s instruction to wait on the Holy Spirit, and we see the fulfillment of Jesus’s promise to send this great gift. The Holy Spirit filled them and enabled them to share the truth about Jesus with everyone. Here are the main points: • Jesus’s disciples witness God’s plan (Acts 2:1).
• Jesus’s disciples are filled with the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:2-5).
• Jesus’s disciples reveal God’s works (Acts 2:6-13).

Discuss these questions with your children:
• When is it easy for our family to get so focused on following God’s commands that we forget about His grace and following the Holy Spirit?
• Do we tend to believe God still works miracles or that they’re a thing of the past? Why?
• What evidence shows the Holy Spirit is active in our family?
